Mrs. Ilene Pimpleton is our new Assistant Director, She has been married for 30 plus years, she is a glamma of 12, She has owned and operated her own child care program for 16 years.  She is transitioning from being a center assistant director for the last 4 years and now will be assistant director on our team. She holds an AAS in Early Childhood Education and we are excited and thankful to have her on our team. When the Tukwila location is ready, Mrs. Ilene will be Director of our current location which will become the school age site.

Hello Happy Zone families! My name is Angeline Watkinson and I graduated last year with my Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Washington. Before becoming a social worker, I worked in early childhood education. I have over 3 years of experience working with children and families. My passion is helping families access quality early learning opportunities and providing families with support as the need arises. I am knowledgeable about state, county, city, and private childcare funding opportunities, as well as many other local resources within our community. We live within the confines of a racist and capitalist society, and I am aware that it affects people of different identities unjustly. Professionally and personally, I am an advocate for changing and dismantling these systems for the benefit of everyone, prioritizing lifting up those who experience systemic racism and discrimination. At Happy Zone, I aim to be an extension of your support system and help out with any resources or information your family may need. Outside of work I enjoy camping, paddleboarding, cooking, and reading. Ms. Angeline will serve as our Family Support Social Worker. She is here 40 hours per month.
